Cell phone video taken presumably from the perspective of a Russian Soldier in a defensive position captures the moment a Russian BMP strikes a landmine while maneuvering. According to the source of the footage, the BMP was attacking towards Ukrainian positions when it struck a landmine, however it's unclear if the vehicle struck a landmine emplaced by Russian forces or Ukrainian forces. If the Soldier filming is Russian and not Ukrainian as the original source suggests, then it's just as likely that the vehicle hit a defensive landmine that was remotely emplaced by Russian forces.
Unfortunately, with footage like this, which is often taken out of context as it spreads across social media, it's impossible to know the reality of the situation until the original source of the footage can be questioned. Given the circumstances of the Soldier who was recording, it is also unlikely that they will be coming forward any time soon with a comprehensive write-up on this specific scenario.
