Footage shows an Azerbaijan Armed Forces Bayraktar TB2 armed drone striking an Armenian military mobile drone station.
Although Armenia surrendered during the last open conflict, the 2nd Karabakh War, border disputes and ethnic tensions have not subsided. Hostilities will likely flare up into another open conflict at some point in the future.
The 2nd Karabakh War broke out in late 2020 when Azerbaijan entered into territory that is politically theirs, but was controlled by ethnic Armenian local governments and claimed as ancestral Armenian land. Azerbaijan's years of investments into advanced military hardware, including various unmanned aerial systems resulted in a short and brutal decisive victory over the Armenian military, which relied heavily on near-obsolete Cold War-era equipment and weaponry.
