Footage from late 2020 shows accurate Azeri artillery striking an Armenian trench position during the war in the Nagorno-Karabakh region.
The 2nd Karabakh War broke out in late 2020 when Azerbaijan entered into territory that is politically theirs, but was controlled by ethnic Armenian local governments. Azerbaijan's years of investments into advanced military hardware, including various unmanned aerial systems resulted in a short and brutal decisive victory over the Armenian military, which relied heavily on near-obsolete Cold War-era equipment and weaponry.
Azerbaijan regained large swaths of land, but currently the new boundaries are still being disputed and violent flareups, ranging from fistfights to artillery strikes are still occurring in the contested regions.
