Australian F-111 Sinks North Korean Drug Smuggling Ship

Footage from 2006 shows the time Australian F-111 "Aardvark" aircraft sunk a North Korean (DPRK) boat that had been seized following a heroin smuggling bust.

The F-111 supersonic tactical attack aircraft used two 2,000-pound precision guided bombs against the "Pong Su" boat, which rapidly sunk following the strikes.

According to reports, the Pong Su was seized in 2003, following a four-day chase, for smuggling heroin into Australia. The boat had been sitting in the Sydney Harbor for three years, costing taxpayers $2,500 a day.
