(India) - Sajad Afghani, the top commander of the Jaish-e-Muhammad (JeM), was killed in an encounter on March 14th, in the Rawalpora region of Shopian district in south Kashmir, according to Jammu and Kashmir Police.
Afghani, who was instrumental in recruiting terrorists, was killed in the encounter, which entered its third day on Monday, according to J-K DGP Dilbag Singh.
Apart from Afghani, the other terrorist killed in the encounter was Rakh Narapora's Lashkar-affiliated Jahangir Ahmad Wani.
The video featured above reportedly shows the Indian army resorting to burning down the house that the terrorists were fighting from to minimize friendly casualties. It is unclear if the leader was killed by the flamethrower, or if he died during the fighting.
