Some interesting footage claims to show a Russian transport truck, loaded with ammunition being struck by a DM22, Directional Anti-Tank Mine (ATM) in an unidentified area of Ukraine.
I'll be honest with you, I had no idea what a DM22 mine was when I first watched this, but it makes complete sense. At face value, my first question was "how did this truck not see a mine in the middle of that road". Well, that would be because the DM22 is projectile mine that has an effective range up to 40-meters.
These ATM's can be detonated in a few different ways, one being from a fiberoptic trigger cable and another being remote detonation. With information such as that, this videos context comes together a bit better, rather than having a generic "anti-tank mine" label. Along with this videos vague claims, I'd agree the vehicle had some sort of ammunition or large quantities of fuel on board. As shown toward the end of our footage, a large secondary explosion is observed from the rear, transport area of the vehicle.
