Anti-Junta Forces In Myanmar Capture Mobile Drone Jammer

This footage, provided by the Ta’ang National Liberation Army (TNLA), shows their troops searching and inspecting a recently captured government truck. The truck is festooned with antennae for drone jamming equipment- an edge which the Junta forces appear to have developed and immediately lost.

The presence of EW-capable vehicles in Myanmar was more or less an inevitability, given that the Junta forces field static versions of the same equipment to protect buildings. Bolting those jammers to a truck probably didn’t take a very substantive breakthrough. However, its loss represents a rather severe setback for the Junta, since the TNLA and PDF units can now retro-engineer and reproduce similar equipment. Considering it was introduced as a reaction to anti-Junta drones in the first place, it’s pretty clear who has the initiative at this point.
