Anyone who was in Iraq between 2006 and 2008 knows this track very well. If you were on a combat outpost or a patrol base, your perspective of the track hits a little different.
Combat deployments vary in difficulty depending on your MOS, and what area of operations, if any, you end up in. For some people, a seven to thirteen month combat deployment can be a living nightmare. Every day you leave the wire seeking contact with an enemy who hides amongst the population making the fight nearly impossible. For others, deployment is a seven to thirteen month vacation on a cushy airbase with air conditioning in every building and permanent access to the internet at every single Green Bean Cafe.
This song right here goes out to everyone who deployed, regardless of where you spent that deployment. If you're a fobbit and proud, let us know down in the comments. I swear we won't bully you... much.
