A member of the American Battalion in the Ukrainian Foreign legion release a video providing a quick update on their situation on the ground.
For the purposes of OPSEC, we're not going to release the location that this video was filmed. We know, and anyone who does any digging at all will be able to find out almost exactly where these guys are. While a lot of people probably appreciate the update from some of the Americans who volunteered for Ukraine, it would probably be a good idea for the commander to start taking cell phones away before their entire unit ends up on the wrong-side of an artillery strike.
One of my largest hang-ups for the foreign legion from the get-go was the potential for inexperienced fighters showing up and blowing operational security with their videos. While it's the 21st century, and combat footage is going to be released regardless, the use of cellphones on the battlefield to post update videos like this pose a serious risk to not only the guy who filmed the video, but everyone around him as well. It's important to remember that Russia is a first world military with the means and ability to exploit content like this. They aren't a group of 3rd world rebels, they're a professional military fighting force. (Even if they've been doing a piss poor job of acting like it thus far.)
