A video from March 2020 shows a "first of its kind" joint live fire exercise in which an Air Force AC-130W Stinger II gunship coordinated fires with US Navy Cyclone-class patrol coastal ships and P-8A Poseidon aircraft to deliver accurate rounds onto a target at sea.
This isn't your grand daddy's AC-130 gunship. The Stinger II is outfitted with a plethora of cutting edge upgrades to avionics, targeting, and communications systems. It's armament includes a 30mm GAU-23 Cannon, standoff precision guided munitions, and GBU-39 Small Diameter Bombs that allow it to provide lethal, sustained close air support to troops in contact and carry out preplanned precision strikes.
