FPV footage of a Ukrainian T-64B main battle tank (MBT) on the hunt. The tank identifies and destroys an abandoned BMP, according to the source. Smoke rises after the tank round impacts. A Soviet era design, the T-64 was a leap forward from the previous generations of T-55s and T-62s, featuring a better gun, improved fire control systems, and heavier armor, including some of the first composite armors found in tanks. When the Soviet Union collapsed, many of the tanks in Ukraine remained in service, while the factory in Kharkiv, where the T-64 was produced, continued to produce improved versions and upgrades for existing platforms. The T-64B remains a work horse in the Ukrainian armor fleet.
