Footage of Ukraine’s 47th Brigade destroying a Russian mechanized assault. Russian armor with the now standard homemade canopies roll into frame, and the lead vehicle strikes a mine and is immobilized. The dismounts run into the woods and the column is struck with 155mm DPICM artillery shells. What follows is a montage of tanks and APCs being struck by artillery and FPV drones with the expected results. The video ends with a tank absorbing hits from FPV drones. There is little nuance to the Russian tactical approach – they are shoving recruits into anything that can roll, slapping makeshift armor to it, and shoving them towards Ukrainian lines. The effort is working, for now, and this push along the front, combined with Ukrainian shortages of materiel, are resulting in tactically significant gains for Russia. The cost, however, is enormous.
