2 Russian Tanks Destroyed During Failed Assault In Luhansk

A Russian armored assault in the vicinity of Novoselivske, Luhansk met heavy resistance and at least two Russian main battle tanks were destroyed on Aug. 2, 2023.
The exact nature of the tanks' destruction isn't known, but anti tank guided missiles probably played a role. While Ukraine focuses its counteroffensive operations in the south, Russia is pressing forward in the eastern Luhansk region, hoping for a breakthrough or to at least force Ukraine to divert manpower from their own offensive operations.
